BRIEF OVERVIEW – HOW WE SHIP YOUR ORDER
Upon confirmation of your order and proof of payment, Big Dogs will consolidate and package your goods.
Goods will be delivered/shipped at the discretion of Big Dogs using one of the methods detailed below.
All shipments will attract a “Flat Rate Shipping Charge “ as indicated on the shipping portion of the checkout page.
NORMAL SHIPPING OPTIONS
Johannesburg, Pretoria & KZN Coast - Couriers (24-48 Hours)
Cape Town - Couriers (48-72 Hours)
Other Large Metro Areas - Couriers (48-72 Hours)
Regional Areas - Items over 2kg - Couriers (48-72 Hours)
Regional Areas – Items less than 2kg - Speed Services/SAPO (24-72 Hours)
SHIPPING COSTS
Normal shipping will be deemed to be the counter to counter service offered by the South African Postal Service. Should we make use of a courier, this service is normally door to door.
Shipping costs will be added to all purchases irrespective of value, order size, package size or package weight. Big Dogs reserve the right to amend this minimum threshold from time to time without notice.
Certain product lines or brands may attract an additional shipping charge irrespective of the value of the goods ordered. This will be detailed in the cost breakdown of your order before it is confirmed on this website.
Shipments beyond the borders of South Africa will be for the account of the customer. Import duties may be payable by recipients of goods in foreign countries. Big Dogs does not know what levies may be payable and cannot calculate or estimate such costs.
DELIVERY
The customer may elect to have goods delivered by either:
Standard – South African Postal Service counter to counter.
Courier Services – Elective option, the difference in cost to be carried by the customer.
Where delays and out of stock situations occur, Big Dogs undertake to inform the customer within a reasonable time after the order is placed.
Big Dogs will confirm despatch of goods via email.
Any date or period for delivery shall be considered as indicative. We aim to despatch non-personalised items to your specified delivery address within 3 working days.
If we cannot despatch an item to you within the specified time we will notify you and at your request we will cancel the order and refund your money in full.
Once the items have been signed for at the delivery address, they no longer are the responsibility of Big Dogs. Refunds will not be given if your gift is not passed to the main recipient.
Big Dogs will not be responsible for delays in the delivery caused by any third party.
RETURNS/REFUND POLICY
Where Big Dogs supplies and delivers the wrong product, Big Dogs will exchange it for the correct one at their own cost. Big Dogs will make a reasonable effort to exchange the product, but if replacement is not possible, Big Dogs will refund the purchase price.
Where the client orders the wrong product, Big Dogs will not refund the customer. Goods may however be returned to Big Dogs, but will attract a handling charge of 50% of the original purchase price. In this instance, Big Dogs will make a reasonable effort to exchange the product for the correct one, but if replacement is not possible, Big Dogs will refund the purchase price, net of shipping and handling costs.
Should Big Dogs be unable to supply the goods ordered or offer alternatives, and should payment have been made, Big Dogs will refund any amounts owing to the customer within a reasonable period.
Cancellation of any order will incur administration and handling costs. These will be off set against the order value.
Customers have 5 working days after the delivery date of your items to return your item for a replacement. Goods or products must be returned unused and in their original packaging to Big Dogs in order for a return or refund to take place. It is the customer’s responsibility to deliver the items to us.
